“How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!” -Maya Angelou
I know that the old saying is that there are “no guarantees in life”. But I can guarantee you 5 things about me.
(Thanks L, for snapping this photo of me.)
1. I will forever call someone, at some point in time, “DUDE”. It’s just me. It’s a habit that will die hard.
2. I will swear at least once a day. In fact, probably more.
3. Anytime I sing a song out-loud, no matter the genre, I will always make it sound like the “country” version.
4. If you hand me your baby, toddler, or child (even for a second), I will kiss them. I have “kissing baby” syndrome. I am sorry. I can’t help it.
5. I am deaf in my left ear. Born that way. If you stand on the left side of me and talk to me, I won’t hear a word you are saying. I will have no idea what you are talking about even though I will pretend that I do–nodding and smiling the whole time. Sorry. There is nothing I can do about it. I promise that I am indeed a very good listener, but you have to be near my “good” ear.
Just the facts.
I have photographed kids. Adults. Dogs. Families. Triplets. Girls. Boys. Sisters. But I had never photographed-just brothers (and if I have…please forgive my memory–it’s shot)!
They were such boys. Both of them were totally sweet and adorable.
Look at those eyelashes.
And I could listen to the little one talk for hours.
Yep, you always here about parents having to “lock” their daughters up.
I think these 2 little dudes are so ridiculously cute that their mama is going to have to “lock” them up.
Thanks for the fun.
It’s a crisp November, Sunday. We are in absolute family and chill mode today. I really enjoy these types of days, we don’t get them often.
It’s nice to relish the moments and just enjoy each other’s company.
A little Fink Radio on Pandora and some cookies in the oven. It’s cozy and the house smells like warm sugar and cinnamon.
I really have to stop being lazy and set up the self timer on my camera so I can be in some pictures. Until then, just picture me right here.
Right exactly now, the cookies are “drying”, the girls and daddy are out riding bikes, and playing dolls on the bridge.
Mama is working on editing photos, my blog, and getting things done.
In a little while we are all going to hang around the family room and play some games/puzzles.
Just going with the flow today, nothing too planned.
I love days like these.
Happy –TODAY– Sunday.
