Spring. Shoots. Random. Busy.

Disappearing act #????.
It was for good reasons, I promise.

Disneyworld (all by an iPhone). Firecracker turned 4. Exercise (finally!). Work. Family. My 2 little loves.

I am going to try and play catch up this week so you might get a little more posts than normal!  Lots to share.

Here is a recent shoot I did. The Spring Photo season is in full force! Talk about 2 “littles” who can brighten your day.

Thanks to my new little buddies for an awesome and fun shoot!

Creating Moments and Capturing Memories

A very dear friend and smart guy recently gave me an insight on what he described as my bit of work: Creating moments and then capturing memories.  It was like a new door opening up for me, I have been ruminating on it for some time. It again, reminds me of what I love about photography:  Capturing those moments.  Short and sweet.

These littles grow up too fast. I feel very honored to be able to freeze that moment in time.  I feel blessed to capture a great memory and be able to give that gift to the parents.

Although, I remind myself that it isn’t me that makes this a great moment.

It’s them.

This was another great shoot from back home. She and I were in school together starting in elementary school.  I always mention that to people. I think it’s because it was a special time in my childhood. Those school days were awesome.

Fun and Laughter

With all of the rain keeping me indoors, I am taking full advantage of a long list of much needed “to do” items at my desk. Today’s off the list includes blogging and cleaning hard drives. The negative side of taking hundreds of images a week, is that you have to keep them all very organized!  Sigh.

That’s boring stuff. Geeky stuff.

Here is a bit of non-boring stuff:  My friends.

If you ever get the chance to hang with them, they will make you laugh until you have to pee.  And they instill that same great smile and laughter in their kids. All of them..FUN!

Now let’s focus on the good stuff. It’s Earth Day. We love this day, unfortunately/fortunately it’s raining. And although we are not outdoors planting a tree today we are excited because we have been long overdue for a good saturation on our little homestead. The lack of rain has allowed us to be outdoors so much earlier than usual in this season and we have taken full advantage of it and have been planting like crazy this whole season!

In the meantime, check out our new mud kitchen, it’s a work in progress. But the 2 littles are loving it. We were just getting ready to free cycle this kitchen or donate it, after 5 years it was sitting lonely in the house. It’s found a new life outside. I think I will expand on it and add some more features. Maybe a mini potting bench next to it.

Happy Earth Day, friends and family!
