Groove of Summer

Is it really true that it’s almost July?  It’s like we skipped the whole month of June. We are certainly into the groove of Summer. Trips to town pool, camp, no more school, backyard fun and grillin’!! Whoot. Life is good.

I am shooting the last of my Spring sessions this weekend (clear throat…I know it’s not Spring anymore). There was so much rain I had to push my sessions back.  I am now officially booking into the Fall and booking FAST.  Let me know if you want on the list.  Yeah, I have a super secret list.  Not really, but if you want on it, let me know!

Meet more of my new friends, these were taken before Mother’s Day.  I have already been back to meet their newest addition. And he is JUST as cute as the rest of his family.

Firecracker Turns 4—Spider Girl Garden Party

This past couple of months have been rush, rush, rush, rush. But we still managed to squeeze in one of our main priorities…..Firecracker’s 4th Birthday bash.

She dreamt it up. We made it happen.

Or at least Kori made it happen.

……then Miss L and I got to work.

And then the kids brought it to life……….

Simple. Perfection. Fun.

Don’t forget where all the good stuff comes from: Kori from Paper and Pigtails.

She even has her own personal stationery line out now! Check it out:  Kori Clark Designs.

Communion Boy

I had a couple of Communion shoots this Spring. I will share both. This was the first boy communion I shot.

We had so much fun with this shoot that I couldn’t stop and I now I am over-sharing. 😉

I learned 2 things. Catholic churches are very particular about using their facilities for photos and Communion boys are just as fun to shoot as girls!

It really is such a special time and I loved that we captured his personality perfectly.

Thanks to my friend for all the amazing photos and thanks to another friend, JJ, for guiding me to the right churches in our area!

Memorial Day

I have been wanting to raise a flag on Memorial day ever since the day I moved into this home. I am really not sure why I didn’t get around to it sooner.

I thought it was a perfect weekend to finally get to it since my Marine Corp/Vietnam Veteran Dad is here visiting.

We gave him the honors.

Thanks, Dad.

Happy Memorial Day.

As we celebrate our favorite weekend of the year, let us pay tribute and honor all of those who serve our Country and remember those who lost their lives.
