Finally….a non-gardening post! This is my second post about a baby naming celebration! The first one was for our daughter, Princess M. We had such a great time and loved it so much that we were super excited when it was time to name little S! We scheduled her baby naming a little later than M’s, Lil S was almost 6 months old! The name we gave her was in honor of her maternal great-grandmother, Shayna Batya. It was another great collaboration with my in-laws, and for this party my dad, sister, and nephew were all able to fly out! And don’t think I didn’t put them to work! They had no idea what they were getting into! Thank you’s to everyone who helped in this special day! Enjoy!
We found a beautiful arboretum to hold S’s party. It had an old center hall colonial on the grounds and we held the brunch indoors. Our guests had full access to the outside areas of the arboretum. They could tour the grounds and the kids played on a nice big grassy lawn. I wish I had better pictures to show you but here is a sneak peak at the arboretum from one of the trails.
We had 2 rooms setup for seating/tables. This was the enclosed sun-porch. It was the perfect size for a small party!
My very good friend JJ and I hashed out forever to find the perfect color scheme. The ribbon and scrapbook paper were all found at Michael’s. I found the great idea to use scrapbook paper for chargers from this site. I love how it all came together!
For our table numbers, we took lil S to various places and had her pose with foam numbers. Then we attached each picture to a blank copy of her invitation. We picked up the boxes for our centerpieces at Blume Box and put in some fresh cut flowers. So cute!!
S’s special cake!
My friend JJ made all of the cupcakes for S’s party! They were DE-licious!! My sister and nephew helped me wrap all of them up in these little boxes to give away as favors! It was a wonderful celebration and a happy day to remember!
