The new raised bed vegetable garden is moving right along! I finished planting the remaining squares with more veggies and added some marigolds to help with pest/critter control. The rest of the veggies just needed their daily dose of water and weeding. There really is nothing to the weeding, just a few here and there. But it’s fun to get down and up close and personal with my garden!
Here is a look at all the veggies together. I am sure that I overcrowded them but I was nervous they wouldn’t do well and wanted to hedge my bets, I hope that it doesn’t backfire later on!
This week was really about maintenance but I had so many left over tomato plants that I decided to add another smaller bed next to the main bed.
I think I overcrowded this bed a bit with tomatoes; going to need to thin it out!
I am going to add one more box in this space! I am addicted to my veggie garden!
The peppers are doing well, the marigolds in full bloom, and the strawberries look happy in their new home!
The squash is still not looking great.
The radishes are getting bigger and bigger!
The first signs of my carrots!
We had a frost warning the second week. I covered the veggies with buckets and blankets just to be safe!
