As I thought about where to begin, I decided that I would blog about my last party I did in California. It was for my sister’s baby shower. We knew she was having a boy and I really wanted to do something modern and hip so I came up with a “Sock Animal” theme. The party was a huge hit and in the end, our new baby boy, BMG, not only had a fabulous welcome party but had lots of goodies to take home and keep in his room. I would like to thank my nieces, Nat Nat and Em, for being my creative team and helping on all of these projects! Thank you to Aud for the wonderful favors! Thank you to Jo A for the absolutely amazing food! Thank you to Tay Tay for putting up with all of this in your brand new home! And finally thanks to our new mom for giving us such a great gift to celebrate! Enjoy!
These sock animals were purchased at Pottery Barn Kids on clearance! They were the inspiration for the party! The rest of the materials were all picked up at Michaels!
Must have — fresh cut flowers! They make such a difference!
We used the instructions on “how to make a diaper cake” from Alpha Mom’s website. My niece Em and I had so much fun making this!
The final finished table! “B” is for Baby Boy!
I love cupcake towers!
My nieces, Em and Nat, took part in painting these little letters from Michaels. “BMG”!
How cute are these?! They were made by our favorite bakery – Nonni’s.
Aud made these homemade jam & jelly jars as favors for the guests!
All in all, it was a fabulous day and we had so much fun creating it for our newest addition to the family!
